This guide covers the Nvidia Shield, Shield Pro, and Shield TV (2015 through current models) — and the same steps work on any Android TV device with the Play Store, including Chromecast with Google TV, Xiaomi Mi Box, and Sony or Philips televisions.
First, the usual disclaimer, because it matters: TvPro Player is a player, not a service. It ships with no channels and no content. You bring your own M3U playlist, Xtream Codes login, Stalker portal, or your own media server, and the app loads, organises, and plays it. If you don't have a source, this app won't give you one.

Installing on the Shield

Install Downloader from the Play Store
On your Shield, open the Google Play Store, search for Downloader by AFTVnews (the orange icon), and install it. It's free.
Allow Downloader to install apps
Open Settings and look for Apps → Security & Restrictions → Unknown Sources (on newer Shield software: Settings → Device Preferences → Security & Restrictions), then switch Downloader to allowed. The menu name varies slightly between Android TV versions, but it's always under Settings, and it's a one-time step.
Enter the code
Open Downloader, select the URL box, and enter:

Install, then delete the file
Select Install when the screen appears, then Done, and let Downloader delete the APK — the app is installed and the file is just taking up space.
Add your sources

Common questions
Is TvPro Player on the Play Store?
Not yet for TV — the install goes through Downloader as described above, which takes about five minutes and is a normal, supported way to install apps on Android TV. Mobile versions for iPhone, iPad, and Android phones are in their app stores.
Which Shield models does it work on?
All of them — the original 2015 Shield TV through the current Shield and Shield Pro. It also runs on other Android TV devices: Chromecast with Google TV, Mi Box, and Android TV sets from Sony, Philips, and others.
Can it share an account with my Fire TV sticks?

Does it handle 4K streams?
Yes — the player is built for high-bitrate streams, and the Shield is one of the strongest boxes you can run it on. Actual quality depends on what your source provides.
